Sourav Chandidas Ganguly (born 8 July 1972), also known by his nickname Dada, is an Indian cricket administrator and former international cricketer who served as the 39th president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) from 2019 to 2022. 

Ganguly was born in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. He made his Test debut in 1992 against England and his One Day International (ODI) debut in 1996 against South Africa. He was appointed captain of the Indian team in 2000 and led the team to a number of successful tours, including a series win in Australia in 2003-04. He retired from international cricket in 2008.

As a captain, Ganguly was known for his aggressive style of play and his ability to get the best out of his players. He was also a prolific run-scorer, with 11,363 runs in Test cricket and 7,212 runs in ODIs. 

After retiring from international cricket, Ganguly remained involved in the game as a commentator and a mentor. He was appointed the president of the BCCI in 2019 and served in that position until 2022.

Ganguly is married to Dona Ganguly and they have a son, Sanath. He is a recipient of the Padma Shri, India's fourth-highest civilian award.
